Terms
Simple terms for using Trace.
Updated May 31, 2026
Trace is a personal app for saving shared memories at the places where they happen. You're responsible for how you use it and for the content you add.
You must be at least 18 years old to use Trace.
You keep ownership of the photos and notes you add. By saving a memory, you confirm you have the right to share that content and to include the people in it. Don't upload anything unlawful, harmful, or that you don't have permission to share.
Trace is built around being together in person — a memory is meant to be saved when the people in it are actually there. Don't try to fake your location or presence to get around that.
When you save a memory with other people, be considerate of their privacy. If someone asks to be removed from a memory you shared, please respect that.
Trace depends on internet connectivity and third-party services. We may change, improve, limit, or discontinue features when needed for security, legal, technical, or product reasons.
Trace is provided on an "as is" basis, without guarantees of uninterrupted availability, compatibility with every device, or fitness for any particular purpose.
We may suspend or remove accounts that break these terms or misuse the service.
These terms may be updated from time to time, and this page will reflect the latest version.
